BAU MEDAM Is Making A Documentary About Turkish Cypriots

BAU Civilization Studies Center (MEDAM) is making a documentary about Turkish Cypriots. The documentary is supported by Turks living abroad and will be shown on BRT and TRT. The documentary, which is planned to be launched and held in the TRNC, received the support of TRNC President Ersin Tatar.

BAU President Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz and her committee visited the Foreign Affairs Minister Hasan Taçoy. During the meeting, Karadeniz stated that Bahçeşehir University MEDAM Director Agah Karlıağa is preparing a documentary and explained that interviews were conducted with experts within the framework of the documentary, especially in a way to defend the deserving cause of the Turkish Cypriots. Foreign Affairs Minister Taçoy wished the best for the documentary and said, "We are ready to do whatever task falls upon us."

Taçoy stated that TRNC needs these kinds of activities. After expressing that not only diplomacy but also the future of the country is discussed in foreign affairs, Minister Taçoy also talked about his increasing desire to continue the cooperation. Minister Taçoy emphasized the importance of making the voice of Turkish Cypriots heard in different ways to the world with the documentary, and said that such activities introduce the country and are instructive.
