Roderick Wiles has worked with the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) since 1999, running a cross-regional campaign to raise awareness and knowledge levels of American hardwood products. In recent years, this work has involved high-profile collaborations with leading architects, furniture and interior designers in Africa, the Middle East, India and Australasia. He is an expert on American hardwoods and he speaks regularly to architects and designers, as well as furniture manufacturers about the different species available from the forests of the United States, their legality and sustainability, their properties and their applications in architecture, furniture and joinery.
