Bahçeşehir University & Cannes Short Film Corner cooperation continues to strengthen. As every year, the short films of the students of BAU Cinema and TV Department are shown in the Cannes Short Film Corner. "Cannes Short Film Corner: Short Film Industry" workshop organized by international film professionals, open only to BAU Cinema and TV students, by Cannes Short Film Corner this year!
Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, will be held between 12-16 July this year. The festival, where famous directors, actors, and prominent works of the year come together, also hosts the Cannes Short Film Corner in order to recognize new talents, bring them together with the industry, and open their works to evaluation.
Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Communication, Cinema and Television Department takes part in the event with student projects this year, in order for its students to take part in this meeting, which is one of the most important events of world cinema, and to get to know international projects and sector representatives.
The selection process, which will be specially organized for the students of our university, has started for the Cannes Short Film Corner, first launched in 2004 as a way to recognize short filmmakers in the belief that they have a promising future as the next generation of feature filmmakers, to provide a networking opportunity to these talents, and to gain official access to the Cannes Film Festival and its market. Those who want to apply to this important call, where a limited number of films will meet with the world's leading cinema industry representatives, can share their projects with BAU Cinema and Television Department from the page at the link.
