Bahçeşehir University, famous for its contributions to education and training via its cooperation with 186 universities from 35 countries of the world continue to expand its web.
Within the scope of the cooperation entered into with Michigan Lawrence Technological University, another dream of students of Bahçeşehir University is coming true thanks to “Entrepreneurship Program Focusing Interdisciplinary Approach in Engineering”.
In the cooperation meeting held in Beşiktaş Campus of Bahçeşehir University, it is decided to carry out mutual studies in fields of Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management, biomedical, industrial design and CO-OP.
Thanks to this agreement, Lawrence Technological University, one of the best 100 universities in USA, has become another option of the students of Bahçeşehir University.
The Director of Entrepreneurship Prof. Donald M. Reimer of Lawrence Technological University Faculty of Engineering and Associate Professor Ahad Ali, the Director of Master Programs in Industrial Engineering also attended the meeting in which Şenay Yalçın, the Rector of Bahçeşehir University stated that Bahçeşehir University added another link to its academic web thanks to the agreement reached with Lawrence Technological University and also stated that “We are in cooperation with 186 significant universities from 35 different countries of the world. We want to reach wherever knowledge and science exists. We have opened campuses in America and Germany. USA is a country where significant achievements are earned in several fields of education. In consideration of this, the cooperation executed with Lawrence Technological University will enable our students to follow the technological improvements at site and gain various occupational experiences.”
Prof. Donald M. Reiner, the Director of Entrepreneurship in Lawrence Technological University stated that he was happy about this entrepreneurship and stated that “This cooperation proved that east and west is after the same targets one more time. The students of Bahçeşehir University will utilize from many opportunities in our university and also make their contributions in science world which changes and develops day by day. We are quite happy to see them among us.”

Lawrence Technological University located in Michigan, one of the biggest 8 states of United States of America was initially established in 1932 as “Lawrence Institute of Technology” and in 1989 its name was changed into current one.
LTU, offers undergraduate, master and doctoral degree programs in the fields of engineering, mathematics, architecture, graphical design and administration. The university took its place at the top of the list in worldwide reports. It was the 37th in 2006, 47th in 2007, 40th in 2008 and 55th in 2009 among hundreds of mid-west universities.
