Announcement on the Spring Semester Hybrid Education Planning of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
Dear Students,
Courses at our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences in the 2020-2021 Spring semester have been planned as online synchronous and hybrid. All our theoretical and practical courses will be delivered online synchronously via MS Teams. In addition, laboratory sessions, project work, problem-solving sessions and office hours will be held face-to-face on our campus for students who wish to attend. Face-to-face sessions on campus will be planned by appointment with pandemic precautions in place and will be held with reduced student groups. Students who cannot come to campus will not be disadvantaged in any way and will be able to attend all courses online synchronously.
Depending on the course of the pandemic, the implementation principles of courses may be changed following a mid-semester reassessment by the Ministry of Health. In addition, at the end of the Spring semester, we aim to repeat all practical courses of the 2020-2021 Fall and Spring semesters face-to-face, including evenings and weekends, for students who wish to attend.
This semester, too, you will see that the course materials in the itslearning LMS have been enriched with videos of lectures and laboratory sessions, animations and more. Through the MS Azure virtual laboratory, you will also be able to access all licensed software on campus remotely and run it at high performance whatever computer you use. As the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences family, we will get through these difficult days that humanity is facing together, in good health and while keeping our educational quality at the highest level.
I wish you all a healthy, successful and peaceful semester.
