Graduation Ceremony of Bahçeşehir University-2012 was held in Inonu Stadium. Graduating its 12th term students, Bahçeşehir University sent them off with a spectacular ceremony. Bahçeşehir University who graduated approximately 10 thousand students since it was established is forging ahead in the path of becoming a world –class university.
Bahçeşehir University which held a splendid graduation ceremony in Inonu stadium experiences the pride of graduating its 12th term students. In the ceremony,1847 students received graduation certificate, the families accompanied their children and many important persons also participated in the ceremony.
Şenay Yalçın, the President of Bahçeşehir University stated that she was sure that the 1847 elite students who graduated this year shall become important academicians, educators and businesspeople in Turkey. Yalçın said; “Bahçeşehir University has been expanding since the day it was established and is forging ahead to become a deep-seated university in Turkey with its alumni number approaching to ten thousand. Compared to previous year, the number of foreign students who preferred to receive education in our university has increased 40 percent. This education institution which host students from 35 different countries will not stop but keep developing “.
After the speech of our president Şenay Yalçın, participants experienced a splendid concert. Everyone got entertained in concert of “Chorus of Civilizations” composed of the students of Bahçeşehir University and presents the songs of various cultures.
Enver Yücel, the President of Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees made a speech in the ceremony; “The point we have reached since the date the university was established is clear. We have accomplished great works. I thank the academicians, parents and students who contributed in this success and I am proud of them”. Enver Yücel emphasized the fact that they still have many things to do and stated: “Ours is a long path. Bahçeşehir University shall make its best for contributing in human rights, peace and cultural relations. We determined our motto as “My Campus is World” and expanded on many foreign countries. We shall not get stuck in campuses, we shall not yield and strive to do our best”. Yücel congratulated the new bachelors and gave them following advice: “Graduation is the beginning of all. The point is not to yield in this hard path and be able to stand up when you fall.”
Following the speech, award ceremony took place and the students who graduated from their faculties with a degree received their certificates. Then, those who graduated from university received their awards. Roda Akgün, bachelor of Bahçeşehir University Faculty Science and Literature, faculty of Psychology, who graduated ranking first in school, received the traditional award for outstanding success: “the golden brain”.
After all students had received their graduation certificates, cap tossing ceremony took place and young graduates enjoyed their graduations by tossing their caps with a splendid ceremony.
