Bahçeşehir University, the architecture of CO-OP project in Turkey that brings universities and business world together in many countries of the world, is hosting International CO-OP Educators Summit which is held in one-member country each year.
Bahçeşehir University keeps opening the doors of business world to bachelors by bringing east and west civilizations together. The summit is held in one member country every year and this year it is held the first time in Turkey, Bahçeşehir University.
300 delegates from 22 countries participated in the 9th International CO-OP Education Summit which has started on Wednesday, June the 20th and shall last for three days. Universities from all around the world and business world met in the summit in order to enable bachelors enter into a better, more qualified business world.
In the summit which brought leading universities from all around the world, professors, scientists and significant persons of business world, the contribution of Bahçeşehir University was emphasized and it is meaningful that Istanbul, the city linking the continent being the host of this organization.
Dr. Paul Stonely, the CEO of World Association of CO-OP Educators (WACE), who gave the beginning speech, thanked Ömer Yücel for enabling CO-OP’s debut in Turkey and Süleyman Demokan, the Dean of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Engineering for his contributions.
CO-OP OFFICE WILL BE OPENED IN ISTANBUL
William Howard, the Co-President of WACE expressed that the success rate of all bachelors shall increase thanks to CO-OP project and the studies within the scope of this project is maintained with a modernist approach day by day, and stated that a local CO-OP office shall be opened in Istanbul.
It was stated that more than 100 of Turkish companies collaborating with CO-OP project are carrying out international activities and Zeynep Yener, Bahçeşehir University, International CO-OP Director stated that 5000 bachelors have entered into the business world thanks to CO-OP project which was initiated in 2009 and business opportunities were created in developed countries.
Enver Yücel, the President of Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees stated that he is happy that Istanbul and Bahçeşehir University is hosting another international organization and said “We are working in order to reach the best spot in education. We are doing our best to attract different sectors to universities, because, we need to change the education system. So we invite the leading brands of the world to lecture in our universities as we need good engineers and businessmen in our country.”
