Upon the decision of the Accreditation Council for the Development of Education Quality Center, BAU International University in Georgia within BAUGlobal receives an international accreditation.
In Batumi city, Georgia neighbouring country to Turkey, BAU International University Batumi, which started to provide education to its first students in the field of medicine in the 2015-2016 academic year, receives an international accreditation in the field of Medicine upon the decision of the National Accreditation Council for the Development of Education Quality.
The Accreditation of Center for the Development of Education Quality, the first quality assurance agency in Europe which has received recognition status from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), provides a worldwide recognition status for the universities both in Georgia and abroad. With the accreditation, it is aimed to increase the quality of global medical education by raising the highest scientific and ethical standards in medical education.
Prof. Dr. Demet Akin, the President of BAU International University Batumi, states that “We receive the international accreditation granted by Center for the Development of Education Quality by providing full compliance with the criteria in our first application. This accreditation means that our faculty is recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education. Through this accreditation, our students who graduated from BAU International University Batumi Faculty of Medicine will have the opportunity to continue their education and work in many medicine faculties of the United States and Europe.”
