Dear students;
As Bahçeşehir University (BAU), our studies continue without pausing in order that our students are not affected by extraordinary period occurred because of Covid-19 pandemic and they can continue their education.
In accordance with the decision taken by the Higher Education Council on March 19, 2020 about that spring semester courses are made as distance education (online), our students continue their education period with asynchronous and synchronous courses through our Itslearning and Adobe Connect systems as of March 23.
Also, it is a pleasing situation that attendance of our students to courses is at the high rate such as 92%. Especially the works of Student Affairs and all service units in BAU continue as online
About Applied Courses
In accordance with the new decision announced by Higher Education Council on March 26, as BAU, we have decided that our courses continue as online within the frame of the spring term specified in the academic calendar, and the applied courses, which cannot be performed with distance learning, will be made face to face at the beginning of the summer months for the dates that health conditions are appropriate and will be announced later.
About Exams and Learning Success
The issues related to the assessment of exams and learning success will be carried out by using process and product-based assessment methods according to the principles determined by Higher Education Council.
The possible changes within the syllabus and the details about final exams and make-up exams will be announced as soon as possible.
About Graduation Project and Thesis
Graduation projects and thesis will continue through our online system. The application parts of the graduation projects will be made face to face on the dates that will be announced.
About Graduation
In the event that each student officially completes the courses required by her/his own education program, the student will graduate and the certificate of the graduation will be issued.
The graduation ceremony will presumably be held at the end of September, and the exact date will be announced later.
About Academic Calendar
The dates in our academic calendar will be regulated according to the situation of Covid-19 pandemic and the decisions taken by Higher Education Council, and it will be announced as soon as possible.
Our primary focus is the health of our students, their families and our employees, and we will continue to work without sacrificing our education quality in this period.
