Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Engineering has adopted another new international collaboration and agreement. Realizing the agreement to send students to Silicon Valley through the collaboration with Stanford University in the past few days, Bahçeşehir University has now signed a joint education agreement with Rutgers University located in New Jersey, USA. The agreement will cover all departments in the engineering field.
MASTER AND DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE USA
As per the agreement with Rutgers University, located in eastern US, 45 minutes distance to New York and known as one of the most important universities of the country in the engineering field, students of Faculty of Engineering, Bahçeşehir University will be able to complete their education in the USA after the third class as from 2012-2013. At the end of the fourth year, students will receive double degrees from Bahçeşehir University and Rutgers University. Students will be able to continue master and doctor of philosophy at Rutgers University if they wish so.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman Demokan, Dean of Engineering Faculty of Bahçeşehir University, emphasizes that engineering education has gathered in the USA as a center today, thus the agreement with Rutgers University is really important. Demokan said “We grant our students the right to complete their education in the USA and the right for double degree. As a result our students will be able to receive education both in Bahçeşehir University and Rutgers University, which is one of the best universities of the USA, and have the chance to have double degree. It is also a very important advantage that it grants our students the opportunity to receive master’s education in the Rutgers at the end of the education.”
