We have an offer from Istanbul Consulate General to organize animation days. Making collaboration between Korean animation industry and Turkish animation industry is very valuable and precious for us. We immediately accepted the offer and organized an event together.”
“ANIMATION IS WAITING FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR SUPPORT”
Prof.Dr. Nazli Eda Noyan stated that “Korean animation has significant position in the field of children’s series. Korean character designs are very good. It is a very productive country in game design. Therefore, there is also a certain fan base for Korean animation in Turkey. There are many departments opened in universities for animation in Turkey in recent years but human resources and funding are needed. We want these departments to receive more financial support. This is a sector which we call the baby sector in Turkey. The cultural and economic value of animation industry is recently realized. There are also governmental institutions that support this situation. Therefore, I am hopeful of this industry. Such events and festivals also support this hope. Beside the government, private sector support is very important for this industry. If we are aware of the importance of this situation, nothing can stop Turkey in terms of production.”
