BAU Faculty of Economics Administrative and Social Sciences started the 2018-2019 academic year by hosting Agah Ugur, Borusan Holding CEO, at the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony of the new academic year was held for the first time this year with the participation of many students and instructors at the BAU Besiktas Campus. The opening speech was made by Prof. Dr. Ipek Altinbasak Farina, Dean of Faculty of Economics Administrative and Social Sciences. Agah Ugur, Borusan Holding Executive Director of Board of Management and CEO, who was the guest on the event, gave a speech on “Distinctive strategies in a Changing World”.
Prof. Dr. Ipek Altinbasak Farina, Dean, said that “The private sector should also be in cooperation with universities in order to create the resources they need better. We plan to implement this with much more active and embodiments.”
Agah Ugur, Borusan Holding CEO, said that “The rate of change obliges us to make difference. In the past, technology had an impact on the business world every 200 years. The duration of this impact has recently decreased to 20 years. Everything develops rapidly. We have to make difference in this rate. Listening, Time Management, Language Knowledge, Feedback, Self-Evaluation are prominent and decisive features. You need to learn and implement them. “
