The Magic Box of Artificial Intelligence Opens!

The "Artificial Intelligence Workshop in the Heart of Istanbul – Unlocking the Magic Box of AI" event, to be held by the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences on Sunday, 14 April 2019, will take place at 10:00 in the B Conference Hall.

In the workshop program for high school students, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca, will deliver the opening speech, discussing the past, present and future of artificial intelligence. In the program, which will continue with hands-on training for students, the method known in the literature as "Convolutional Neural Networks" will be used in a face recognition application built with "Deep Learning" solutions. Using this method, students will work on performing sentiment analysis from their own facial images and visualizing the results.
