Block chain technology which enables the data to be stored safely in the digital environment, will be used in trade. BAU BlockchainIST Center is also included in the Block chain Trade Platform which is considered as the largest and the most extensive block chain project in Turkey. In the project supported by IBM, one of the most prestigious information technologies in the world; The important institutions such as Atez Software Technologies(Yazılım Teknolojileri), Schneider Electric, DB Schenker Arkas, Vakıfbank ve Guler Dinamik are involved. With this project supported by the relevant ministries and public institutions, import and export with block chain technology in Turkey will be secure and made quickly than ever before.

Chairman of the BAU Board of Trustees, Enver Yucel, who touched upon the importance of cooperation in the speech, said that “We will not behind this technology. We follow this trend in the education sector. We provide lessons and lectures to the high schools in this regard. The change in the world continues on condition that there is education. However, the education is the most conservative among the sectors. One of the biggest problems is that education cannot keep up with the change and transformation in the world. There are still learning styles used 50 years ago in the education. If we can change and transform education, then we can lead the world. We constantly continue to work as an institution. We are in cooperation with more than 3 thousand companies. Our students can work in the sectors where they want. We provide education within the practice. This cooperation will be foundation of the important works to be carried out in this field.”

All institutions and organizations are changing in the field of business. Block chain technologies which are the favorite in recent years, are the most important field in this respect. There is need for experienced and qualified people in this field. Studies show that curriculum contents are changing. We have to keep up. In the last two years, we have integrated four different block chain courses into the system. The forecasts show that more than 25 billion devices will talk to each other in 2020. This will be provided by block chain. We want to be a pioneer in this field as in many other fields. This cooperation is very important step in this respect”.

Lecturer Dr. Bora Erdamar, the director of BCIST, has stated that “In this cooperation, many projects will be carried out by Block chain technology.” Bora Erdamar has also said that “Turkey should produce international projects about Block chain technology as soon as possible. Currently, the lack of human resources is the most important issue in the world and Turkey. By providing lessons and lecturers about Block chain technology, we try to do our best to fill the human resources deficiency in this field. With BTP, we will carry out academic analyses on the issues such as the contribution of coding and planning of important projects to the economy, and we will carry out the implementation process of the projects. Therefore, as BCIST, we try to contribute to every stages of the project. If we can act quickly in this field, I think we can maintain the opportunity to be a leading country. Currently, our ministries and the Presidency are aware of this importance. In this regard, important works are carried out in order to evaluate and assess the potential of the work accurately and quickly. It is not possible for a single institution to do anything alone. Block chain technology works with cooperation and trust protocol. Therefore, the cooperation between the sector, public institutions and universities is very important.”
Dr. Kenan Guler, BTP Director, who mentioned the use of Block chain technology in trade, said that “with this technology, all documents starting from the order of the products in the international trade, are made in the digital environment. All these processes are carried out by smart contracts. Block chain offers open, transparent, observable and traceable application to all parties. Currently, the subject of how the industry will be shaped in the world is discussed. That is why the young people who know technology well and take action are essential and required.”
