The partnership between Bahçeşehir and Harvard has started bearing fruit. The two universities are working on a “New Constıtuition” project.
Bahçeşehir and Harvard University are conducting together a comparative study on some applications of law. The first meeting of the constitutional law workshop on the subject of “Constitutional Justice” was carried out on 02 Dec 11, where Prof. Mark Tushnet from Harvard Law School acted as the moderator. The meeting, during which the foundations and mechanisms of the classical constitutional law were discussed, tried to answer the question “New Constitution: What for, Why, What type of a constitution?”
First Time in Turkey
The future meetings of the workshop, which was established for the first time by a university in Turkey, will be attended by Prof. Frank Michelman, Prof. Sandord Levinson, and Prof. David Barron from Harvard Law School, Prof. Thomas Wurtenberger from Freiburg University Law School, Prof. Rainer Arnold from Regensburg University, Prof. Dominique Rousseau from Paris 1 University Law School and Prof. Alexandre Viala from Montpellier 1 University.
