Bahcesehir University (BAU), one of Turkey representatives of Esports, which is getting more and more widespread in the world and our country, and Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand of ASUS as the leader of Esports and gaming computer market combine their forces. In the scope of this sponsorship which aims to bring qualified labor force into the world of Esports, ASUS will be the technology sponsor to BAU Esports for 2 years. The new partnership of ASUS and BAU eSports was announced in a press conference held in Bahcesehir University.
Technology sector leader ASUS’ Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand and Bahcesehir University’s esports club BAU eSports have signed a 2-year sponsorship agreement. With this new collaboration, ASUS will support the BAU eSports member students in all related events by providing the equipment and PC laboratory support for BAU eSports. ASUS and BAU cooperation aims to support the professional players in the esports ecosystem and bring qualified labor force in many fields such as streaming, hosting and refereeing into the rapidly developing esports ecosystem in Turkey.
ASUS Turkey Country Manager Özge Kılıç Güler has stated that ASUS Turkey with the Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand is one of the biggest players of Turkey in the gaming computers market for many years, and said;

What is Esports?
Esports, which means electronic sports, is becoming more and more popular with the creation of tournaments and leagues in early 2000s. Esports players are playing in professional teams in official leagues and tournaments to earn their living and the Ministry of Youth and Sports also grants sportsman license to these players. Those players who earn their living by playing games can acquire a license as professional players. Also in our country, the game called League of Legends has an official league.
