A social activity hall has been established in a secondary school in Malatya's Darende district with the support collected through 'Bi' Soluk Kafe - A Breath of Coffee' campaign carried out by Bahçeşehir University Social Responsibility Club members
Club President Beyhan Esra Turgut said at the opening in Ahmet Çokyaşar Secondary School, that they have built classrooms in some schools with the proceeds collected at the campaign initiated by the university students.
57th CLASS BUILT ACROSS TURKEY
"We have provided Ahmet Çokyaşar Secondary School with a social activity classroom. With this one included, this is the 57th classroom we have built across Turkey. Our classroom has play sets, computers, books, smart-boards and a variety of activities. Since 2006, we have been supporting both the education and the Anatolian schools in need", said Turgut, stating that the most important needs in schools are computers and books.
District Education Director Fevzi İnce thanked the students who contributed to the construction of the hall.
Later on, 'Bi' Soluk Kafe Social Activity Classroom' including 11 computers, 1,200 books and a variety of play materials was opened.
