Program Description
Cognitive Neuropsychology Post-Graduate program is a first in its name in Turkey. The program has been created parallel to developments in research happening around the globe in regards to the relationship between the human brain and human behavior. Interdisciplinary approach is set as the groundwork for the program’s subject and extent in addition to the course content. The program’s structure is composed of courses of Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology, Genetics, Biology, Physiology, Neurology and Biomedical Engineering. Elective courses offered under the program provide applied practices in the above mentioned fields and are structured in modules. By creating this complementary format for our main and elective courses, we aim to equip our students with necessary practical and theoretical skills to achieve their carreer goals after graduation. Thus, the program offers a variety of courses covering all the sub-fields of Neuropsychology.
As part of the program, students will have access to a wide range of laboratory settings including Brain and Cognition Research Laboratory, Aging and Cognition Laboratory and Basic Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory.
The duration of the master's program with thesis is four semesters, regardless of whether or not they have registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they enrolled, except for the time spent in scientific preparation, the program is completed in maximum six semesters.
Failed to successfully complete the credit courses in the curriculum at the end of four semesters or fail to meet the success conditions / criteria stipulated by the higher education institution within this period; The student who fails in the thesis study or who does not enter the thesis defense within the maximum period is dismissed from the higher education institution.
If the student who fails in the program with thesis requests, the master's diploma without thesis is given, provided that he / she has fulfilled the course credit load, project writing and similar requirements of the master's program without thesis.
