There is a growing need for health management professionals and academicians who have skills and knowledge about the concepts, principles, models and techniques for the planning, organization, coordination functions in order to develop health infrastructure and carry out objectives of the health care system in line with increasing number of hospitals and developing health care system.
The aim of the Management of Health Institutions Master’s Program is to educate managers who are specialized in the management of health institutions, who adopt innovative approaches, follow health policies in Turkey and in the world, and reflect ethical principles on practice.
The program covers subjects such as management and organization of health institutions, human resources management in health institutions, epidemiology, research and assessment methods in health services, strategic management in health institutions and health informatics.
Students of Management of Health Institutions Master’s-Thesis Program are required to complete at least 21-credit course in two consecutive semesters. Except the seminar course, the program consists of at least 9 courses. After the completion of the courses successfully, students are required to complete their thesis in two consecutive semesters and to make a presentation of their thesis to the jury which is determined by the Board of Directors of the Graduate School of Health Sciences.
Students of Management of Health Institutions Master’s-Non-Thesis Program are required to complete at least 30-credit 10 courses and a project successfully.
