This page contains all the information you need about application and registration to the programs offered. The steps you need to take are listed in order with all necessary details as well as shortcuts to related documents and/or pages.
1- Admission Requirements
Any applicant who wishes to enroll in the programs must have graduated from a 4-year (or an equivalent program of 3 years depending on the country) undergraduate program with a Bachelor's Degree. For Masters Programs, foreign applicants are not required to submit GRE/GMAT exam scores. However holding a valid GRE/GMAT score will give differential advantage to the student’s acceptance procedure. For English programs an adequate English proficiency exam result shall be submitted along with other required documents or an adequate score of an exam recognized by the university can be submitted until registration. Likewise, for Turkish programs a Turkish Proficiency Exam Score by TOMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre) must be submitted.
Applicants from countries which speak English as native language do not need to submit an English proficiency exam score.

Students, with no official or valid English Proficiency Exam Score, are allowed to take the Proficiency Exams administered by Bahçeşehir University. Applicants planning to take this exam have to respond YES to the relevant question on the On-Line Application Form. Applicants without an adequate English proficiency exam score may enroll to our English Preparation School. At the end of the preparation school, successful students can continue their studies in the program they applied for and registered to.
2- Pre-registration
The application process starts when an applicant fills the online application form. Applicants can apply to up to three programs. Online application form is accessible in the application period announced in Bahçeşehir University’s academic calendar. It is very important that the applicants fill the form fully and accurately. Your payment and registration processes cannot be completed without an online application.
You must also contact the Bahçeşehir University International Office as soon as you fill the form. Our institute receives foreign student applications only through International Office. All foreign students are required to send their application folders to the International Office along with their ID number given by the system after completing online registration.
3- Interview
Due to international difficulties, foreign applicants are not required to physically appear and make interviews with program coordinators. These applicants are evaluated on the basis of their application folders by program coordinators. Some programs, however, may require students to make interviews via phone or internet. All applicants are required to submit an application folder to International Office by e-mail, which consists of copies of the documents listed below:
(For PhD Program Registration, notarized and Turkish or English translated official copy of Master’s degree diploma is also needed)
Please do NOT send original documents for evaluation or any other reason. Original documents will be demanded by Student Affairs Office later for registration.
Applicants will be notified by International Office about the evaluation results.
When an applicant is accepted to the program, acceptance letters are prepared by the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences in the following days. Acceptance letters consist of three letters:
Applicants who are exempted from visa do not require and receive embassy/consulate letters. Those who must get a visa receive all three letters. Please do not forget to inform International Office about which Turkish embassy/consulate you are going to apply for a student visa.
Applicants accepted to a program can register during the registration period announced in academic calendar page.
4- Registration
To register to the program, you must first complete the payment operation. Program fees cover the whole program, which is:
Payments can be made in Financial Affairs Office in Bahçeşehir University Main Campus in Beşiktaş. You can also contact the office for payment procedures and payment plan. Students can also complete their payment by making transfer to the bank account.
After completing the payment procedure, applicants can apply to the Student Affairs Office with their original documents for registration. The required documents for registration are:
1- Notarized and Turkish translated official copy of the Undergraduate Diploma
(For PhD Program Registration, notarized and Turkish translated official copy of Master’s degree diploma is also needed)
2- Notarized and Turkish translated official copy of the Transcript (For PhD Program Registration, graduate level of transcript is also needed)
3- Notarized copy of Passport (for foreign students, official Turkish translated copy of the Passport approved by the relevant Turkish Embassy/Consulate General within the home country )
4- An official student visa obtained from the relevant Turkish Embassy/Consulate General within the home country (only for those who apply from countries not exempted from visa)
5- Official Copy of ALES, GRE, GMAT Score Card (for PhD Applicants)
6- English Proficiency Exam Score Card
7- 1 Photograph
8-Certificate of Residence (if already obtained). Those without residence certificate must submit it to the Student Affairs Office as soon as they receive it.
9- Bank Receipt for Tuition Payment
10- Turkish speaking foreign students who are admitted to Graduate Programs in Turkish have to submit a Turkish Proficiency Exam Score from Bahçeşehir University or TOMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre).
The Student Affairs Office gives each enrolled student a user name and a password. Students log on to the Registration System, namely OIS, by using their user name and password. OIS is used for registering for courses; for receiving and sending messages; viewing report cards; downloading course notes; contacting advisor and lecturers; sending and receiving e-mails.
All registered students MUST select their courses in course selection period found on the academic calendar. Those who do not select courses during this period cannot select courses for that semester.
All international students without residence permit must apply to Foreigner Department of İstanbul Vatan Police Headquarters for a residence permit appointment in 1 month following their registration.
Students are advised to contact their program advisor before starting on-line course registration.
