Graduate School of Social Sciences - Registiration
REGISTRATION
Please check the website for further information on registration dates:
• Once admitted to a graduate program, students may contact the Bursar’s Office for payment procedures and payment plan. (Students holding a valid credit card may visit (http://epayment.bahcesehir.edu.tr) website for on-line payment.
• After the completion of the payment, the below listed documents have to be submitted at the Registrar’s Office. (Registrar’s office accepts the original copy of the documents, photocopies are not accepted):
• Notarized and Turkish translated official copy of the Undergraduate Diploma
(For Ph.D. Program Registration, notarized and Turkish translated official copy of Master’s degree diploma is also needed)
An official accreditation statment, as approved of the home university’s equivalency, is needed from the Board of Higher Education in Ankara.
• Official Transcript (For Ph.D. Program Registration, graduate level of transkript is also needed)
• Notarized copy of ID card (for foreign students, official Turkish translated copy of the Passport approved by the relevant Turkish Embassy/Consulate General within the home country )
• An official student visa obtained from the relevant Turkish Embassy/Consulate General within the home country
• Official Copy of ALES, GRE, GMAT Score Card
• English Proficiency Exam Score Card
• 4 Photographs
• Certificate of Residence
• Bank Receipt for Tuition Payment
• Turkish speaking foreign students who are admitted to Turkish medium Graduate Programs have to submit a Turkish Proficiency Exam Score by TOMER (Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre) or an accepted institution.
The Registrar’s Office gives each enrolled student a user name and a password. Students log on to the Registration System, namely OIS, (http://stu.bahcesehir.edu.tr) by using their user name and password. OIS is used for registering for courses; for receiving and sending messages; viewing report cards; downloading course notes; contacting advisor and lecturers; sending and receiving e-mails.
Students are advised to contact their program advisor before starting on-line course registration. Students’ course registration is completed by the final on-line approval of their advisors.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• Students need to register for at least one course in each semester in order to be on student status.
• Leave of Absence Appeals are made to the Director’s Office of Graduate School of Social Sciences
• Students, in progress with thesis or project work, have to renew their registration for thesis and project courses each semester.
• Add/drop and withdrawal dates can be reached at the website.
Students admitted to a graduate program on special student status are allowed to register to a limited number of courses. The special students can not exceed half of the total course load specified for the program.
