Type of Program Thesis-Project
Increasing competition, growing impact of globalization over the local companies, product differentiation as a result of technological improvements and savvy customers of the New Economy have all caused marketing to become the most important management function of companies in recent years. As a result, there is a strong need for individuals with strategic thinking and planning capabilities and a thorough understanding and experience of marketing research in order to develop and implement the most competitive programs suitable for different company needs. Similarly, knowledge and experience in integrated marketing communications is required in today’s marketplace. To this end, Marketing MA program encourages students to run academic researches with an emphasis on the interplay between theory development and empirical research.
The Marketing MA Program educates, coaches and enables students to attend a doctoral program in marketing. Those students who want to pursue an academic career may apply for a doctoral degree.
In order to better serve student needs with different objectives, the Marketing MA Program offers three different modules:
• Marketing Management
• Marketing Research
• Marketing Communications
This three-module program consists of core and elective courses, three of which are common to all students during the first semester. Students who complete their first semester courses are eligible to take the following courses based on their three different areas of expertise.
In case there are students from different backgrounds other than business administration, management and economics, a set of core courses are offered for two semesters as an academic preparatory program. Optionally, additional courses from each concentration area may be taken during the prep year.
