The department itself does not have students and prepares students of other departments with the highest level basic knowledge needed to succeed in their own department programs. Students of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering must receive their science courses from the Department of Sciences. The department’s mission is to present high-quality science programs that support the students’ educations in their respective faculties.
The basic science education given is supplemented with required laboratory and applications studies. As a result of such studies, students gain basic skills such as performing experiments, preparing experiment reports, drawing graphics, and inferring from graphics.
Service areas of the Department such as technical facilities, laboratories, classes and computers etc. are in good conditions and equipped at the cutting edge. As a result the department is in a supportive progress in terms of both education and research desires of the relevant students.
Students who complete the Department of Science can:
conduct disciplined and skillful applications relating to basic

- conduct research, synthesize, and communicate in relation to positive sciences.
- gain valuable professional experience for laboratory studies and the evaluation of digital data.
Courses taken in the Department of Sciences will aid students in their future studies, as well as admission to graduate programs. Especially for admission to foreign masters’ programs, these courses are highly regarded.
Since science courses are given during the first years of a student’s university education, professors in this department are selected to guide students through their initial university experiences and to give advice and support. In order to conduct this guidance in the most positive way, the members of our Science Department are among members who are highly experienced and with a good academic background. Members of our department conduct research studies in subjects like nanotechnology, biotechnology, genetic, and have excellent international relations with institutions and countries around the world.
