INTENTION:
The workshop will provide an overview of the content and structure of most recently released international databases from TIMSS and PISA. We will cover features of the sampling and test design, and implications for the analysis. Provide instruction on how to use the IDB Analyzer and the International Data Explorer (IDE) to analyze the TIMSS and PISA data. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to elaborate their own research questions and commence analyzing data. Each participant will be expected to make a presentation outlining a research project that makes use of an international database and preliminary results, as available.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone can take part in this program who are academic researchers, graduate and doctoral students in economics, behavioral sciences, the field of education employees (teachers, research assistants, students and alumni of the aforementioned areas of education, etc.). Economics, behavioral sciences, those interested in issues of research and development in the field of education, TIMSS anyone who wants to improve themselves and participate in PISA.
PROGRAM
Become familiar with the methodological aspects involved in analyzing the TIMSS and PISA data
Become familiar with the contents of the TIMSS and PISA databases
Be able to plan and conduct meaningful analysis using the TIMSS or PISA data, taking into account the complex assessment design and sampling methodology

At the end of the workshop, "Certificate" will be given to all participants
