ANNOUNCEMENT FOR STUDENTS REPARING PROJECT/THESIS
Project Process:

The edit checks of the projects are carried out by the project advisor. Students are responsible for preparing the project based on project writing guide. Project writing guide and sample pages can be reached above the page.

The deadline for presentation is June 13, 2014. The presentation can be made before the deadline, thus the students do not need to wait until the last day.

Students are responsible for submitting the committee Presentation Evaluation Report and soft (PDF format in a CD) copy of their project at the presentation day.

Following the presentation, Presentation Evaluation Report should be filled in and signed by the advisor and committee member(s), and also submitted to the Program Coordinator along with the soft (PDF format in a CD) copy of project by the advisor. The June 13, 2014 is the deadline for submission of presentation evaluation report to the Program Coordinator.
Thesis Process:
The edit checks of the thesis are carried out by the Graduate School of Social Sciences. After the check, the editor can request amendments for revision.

The deadline for the edit check : 9 May
The deadline for submission of presentation evaluation report : 13 June
The deadline for submission of thesis to the Graduate School of Social Sciences : 20 June

Important Note:

You need to bring your hard copy of thesis that confirmed and wet signed by your advisor or along with a printed out confirmation mail of your advisor.
Thesis will not be accepted to edit check without advisor’s printed out confirmation mail or counter signature.

Students who are preparing thesis must submit both hard and soft (PDF format in a CD) copies of the report to the Graduate School of Social Sciences for edit check. Incomplete thesis reports will NOT be accepted for the edit check.

You should submit your completed thesis for edit check until May 9, 2014. Earlier applications are also accepted.

The deadline for the edit check is May 9, 2014. After the deadline, thesis report will NOT be accepted by the editor for the edit check.

Upon the edit check, you will be sent a message through the OIS system. There will be no other messages or announcements, therefore the OIS system should be checked regularly.
Presentation of Thesis

The Graduate School of Social Sciences requires students to present the completed report.

The deadline for presentation is June 13, 2014.

Following the presentation, Presentation Evaluation Report should be filled in and signed by the advisor and committee member(s) and submitted to the Graduate School of Social Sciences by the student. The June 13, 2014 is the deadline for submission of presentation evaluation report.

The presentation can be made before the deadline, thus the students do not need to wait until the last day.
Thesıs Correction

The jury can request, if it sees appropriate, the institute to give the student an extra of 90 days for minor improvements in the thesis. This can happen only after the thesis has passed the edit check and the presentation.

Correction is not an extension. The jury request is evaluated by the Institute Executive Board.

The thesis needs to be presented once again after the improvement. There is no need for a second edit check.
Submission of Thesis
The evaluation report and completed project/thesis report should be submitted to the Graduate School of Social Sciences by June 20, 2014 latest.
Important: The delivery dates are announced in the academic calendar and are not subject to change. There will be no postponements. When you start your project/thesis, you are expected to evaluate this.
When the thesis are delivered;
1. They are binded with a dark blue hard cover.
2. Two signed approval forms should be prepared. One will be in the thesis and the other will be presented to the institute.
3. One form of presentation protocol will be presented to the institute.
4. The Thesis Entry Form that on the YOK website should be filled and a reference number should be acquired. Three copies of this form need to be signed and presented to the Graduate School..
5. Two CDs in which the thesis must be saved in PDF format should also be presented to the Graduate School. If the thesis has an APPENDIX, it should be separately put into the CD in .rar format.
6. The reference number acquired from YÖK and the name of the student must be written on the CDs.
