Even though our country perceives the Faculty of Science to teach traditional basic sciences, Bahcesehir University Faculty of Arts teaches the use of knowledge in new areas and does not limit education to information transmission. Students are taught universal values as well as how to academically think and debate. Our faculty with its seven programs aims to develop scientific value in addition to educating towards what is required for this day and age, which includes energetic, innovative and well-appointed individuals. Our university is composed of staff that has placed educational and research missions at the center of their lives are prepared to guide and educate our students.
The diversity of the courses available in our faculty is in line with our University's general education philosophy, which allows our students to see individuals and the world in a different perspective as well as enables them to evaluate and address multi-dimensional factors. Our faculty provides its students with knowledge in specialty areas and provides comprehensive training by educating individuals who are respectful of their community and the surrounding regions. This results in the awareness of global and national arts and cultural values. Students adopt the values and diversity of opinion and integrate their knowledge with the world. Therefore, within our Faculty of General Education we offer a wide variety of course electives that focus on science, art and culture. The implementation of student-centered education by our faculty does not only provide a solid academic background but at the same time presents an environment for sharing that is warm and positive.
