School of Government and Leadership Think Tank: New Viewpoints and Perspectives
The Political School Project, which began in March 2005 and brought highly distinguished statesmen together with the Turkish public over four months, was successfully completed. During this period, some of our participants from very different professional fields came together under the umbrella of the School of Government and Leadership Think Tank. Combining both their personal experience and the knowledge they gained during the Political School, they began working toward the true purpose of the Political School. Our valued think tank members, whose real goal is to voice the situation Türkiye is in and the various problems it is currently experiencing and to produce solutions to these problems, advanced and developed this work.
As a result, our authors evaluated the topics they addressed in the best possible way and, after putting the problems on the table, produced solutions to them. The articles they wrote not only produced solutions to some of Türkiye's major problems but also highlighted once again the need for such studies.
At a time in Türkiye when criticism alone is at the forefront and, unfortunately, few solutions are offered in response to the criticisms made, this work will shed light for society, at least to a certain extent, in terms of a systematic approach.
I express my gratitude to our valued authors for their work, and to Prof. Dr. Süheyl Batum, President of Bahçeşehir University, and Mr. Enver Yücel, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bahçeşehir University, for their great contributions and support to the Political School project.
Such an open-minded think tank, embracing different ideas, could only have been realized with an equally open-minded and liberal management team.
