INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN DEPARTMENT TAPLAK – İMEPAK ACCREDITATION PROCESS  

1.    As of January 2026, the Self-Evaluation Report of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department will be submitted to İMEPAK (Interior Architecture Education Programs Accreditation Board) operating under TAPLAK (Design and Planning Accreditation Association) for evaluation. 
2.    As of October 2025, an official application was submitted for the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department to be evaluated by İMEPAK under TAPLAK. 
3.    Res. Assist. Arda Çalışkan (March 2024), Prof. Sezin Tanrıöver (June 2023), and Res. Assist. Beril Gök (May 2023) were appointed by İMEPAK under TAPLAK and served on the Accreditation Evaluation Teams of applying educational institutions. 
4.    In December 2022, three interior architecture faculty members from the BAU Faculty of Architecture and Design, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department participated in the “Evaluator Training Seminars” organized by İMEPAK under TAPLAK. 
5.    In November 2022, the BAU Faculty of Architecture and Design, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department participated in the “Accreditation Training Seminars” organized by İMEPAK under TAPLAK. 
6.    Prof. Sezin Tanrıöver, Head of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, is a member of the İMEPAK Board of Directors, a Full Member of the İMEPAK Accreditation Board, and a member of the İMEPAK Education Commission.
