At our university, "The Algorithm Of Practices To Be Pursued In Case Of The Diagnosis Of Covid-19 Positive Case " has been prepared by the BAU Covid-19 Commission. Accordingly:
1. Teaching Activities in Case of the detection of a Positive Case:
1.1 If any one of the students in a class is in contact or in close contact;
» Close Contact (High Risk Contact): Isolation is implemented in line with the T.C. Ministry of Health Contact Observation, Outbreak Management, Home Patient Monitoring and Filiation guidelines. (10-14 days home isolation)
» Contact (Low-risk contact): They are informed to watch themselves closely for 14 days in terms of COVID-19 symptoms by attending school with a mask.
1.2 If any of the students in a class is diagnosed with positive COVID-19;
In case the member of the teaching staff and students use masks to cover the mouth and nose in compliance with the rules,
» Other students are considered contact and may attend school on the condition that they wear masks as the rules specify.
» Member(s) of the teaching staff are considered contact and may continue to teach on the condition of wearing suitable masks as specified by the rules.
Member of the teaching staff, student or school employee, whose symptoms are identified , is directed to a suitable health institutionas the isolation rules dictate. According to the evaluation of the health institution regarding the 466 T.C. MINISTRY OF HEALTH, the student/teacher either attends the school or is accepted as a case.
1.3 Additionally;
» When a case occurs for the second time in 10 days in the same class, all students, including the member of the teaching staff, are considered to be in close contact. They are isolated for 14 days.
» If the member of the teaching staff is established positive and the mask and the distance rule is not coerced in the classroom, the whole class is considered to be in close contact and is isolated for 14 days. If the mask and the distance rule is applied, the whole class is considered to be in contact, only the member of the teaching staff is isolated.
