Application and Registration Process
1-Application Requirements
Applying post graduate programs requires being graduated from 4-year undergraduate program, and taking 55 or more from ALES in relevant score type for the program with thesis. English proficiency certificate is required for English post graduate programs. It is possible to take TOEFL, YDS, or English Proficiency Exam that Bahçeşehir University regulates in specific terms of the year.
Satisfying the acceptance conditions changing in every program is required for our candidates for acceptance.
The candidates, who do not have valid ALES certificate but satisfy other application Requirements and are accepted, can enrol in post graduate programs with thesis as special students.
2-Application
The student candidates to apply our programs firstly need to start formal application procedures by filling up online application form. Our candidates can only apply to three departments. Online application form is given access to the candidates in application periods stated in academic calendar.
It is very important to fill in online application form exactly and completely for the fact that candidates, who do not have online application, are not be declared in the system, do not receive payment confirm, and are not be able to carry out the exact registration procedures.

3- Application Tracing
You can organize your application, upload your missing documents, and display the status of application evaluation by logging in the system with the PIN number to be sent to the phone number that you typed in the application form and with the link of application tracing to be sent to your e-mail address after filling in online application form.

4- Evaluation
After filling in the online application form, in order for your application to be evaluated, you can upload the documents specified in the “Documents” to the online form on the internet or you can deliver them to the Graduate School of Educational Sciences as long as they are complete between 08:30 and 17:30 on weekdays.
5-Interview
The candidates of only Master’s and PhD. Programs in English Language Education among the master’s programs in the Graduate School of Educational Sciences receive acceptance or denial as a result of the written and oral examination in case of satisfying the acceptance conditions.
The candidates satisfying the acceptance conditions for other Master’s Programs will only be interviewed.
The information about the written and oral examination and the interview will be shared with the candidates by the Coordinator of the Program after online application.
6-Final Registration
The students accepted after evaluation can register finally. It is a must to make payment in order to enrol finally. The program payments include all the program.
The candidates taking advantage of the scholarships of COOP should deliver original certificate of employment before the registration procedures to the Secretariat of Graduate School of Education Sciences.

The candidates who have completed payment transaction should show the original documents to Registrar's Office in order to complete the final registration procedures.
Special Student: Final registrations can be fulfilled in the status of “Special Student” for the students not having a valid ALES result in case of the confirmation of the coordinator of the program after the online application. The important point here is that students who register as Special Students in the program can take course load up to the half of the total credit of the program. For example, just the courses for a total of 15 credits in a program including 30 credits. Students can continue the program as a normal student in case of taking a valid score from ALES in the first optimal date. In addition, the ones in the status of Special Student cannot benefit from the rights of a normal student. The male candidates cannot postpone military obligation and the ones taking education in this status cannot take student certificate.

2. Exam result of ALES, GMAT, OR GRE for the mster’s programs with thesis (or students should take equipotent score from the exams given equivalence by Higher Education Council.)
3. Transcript of undergraduate
4. A photograph
5. Two letters of reference
6. Military service documents for male students
7. The results of the exam carried out by BAU, TOEFL-IBT, or YDS for the English programs (or students should take equipotent score from the exams given equivalence by Higher Education Council). Besides, foreign students should have an exam result form from TÖMER for Turkish programs.
8. Identity card copy
9. A document, given from the institution, showing the working position
