On April 11, 2017, Prof. Dr. Yavuz GÜNALAY and a group of 21 people from BAU Logistics Management Department visited MARPORT Port Management. Within the scope of the 2-hour excursion program, the planning chief, Can ÜNAL, provided detailed information about the operation of the port and the organization. Later, we went down to the port area with Alev DURAK from human resources and had the opportunity to monitor the processes on site. During the trip, BAU Logistics students had the opportunity to learn on-site the work flow, handling practices, machines used and their operations, customs-related procedures and ship loading and unloading procedures.
We thank Mr. Can ÜNAL, Alev DURAK and Marport family for providing us with this valuable information.
Student Feedbacks
“Developing day by day, MARPORT draws attention with its main principle “speed” in terms of transportation. They are also very successful in terms of customer service quality. It was a very rewarding experience to see the size of the port and the efficiency of the organization in the workflow.” – Ozgur OZER
“Visiting MARPORT, which has the largest market share in the port operations sector in Istanbul, and getting on- site technical information from its employees was an important experience for our friends who are especially interested in 'Maritime Logistics'. They made it possible for us to have a nice program with their treats and their caring behavior towards us. We would like to thank the business authorities for the information they have provided.” – Goksel OZKAN
