Assoc. Prof. Ulaş Sunata met with Circassians from different age and gender groups, from different rural and urban regions with varying political opinions and they reflected their personal perceptions of what it is to be a Circassian. “Hafızam Çerkesçe” arose from the TUBİTAK project that was implemented in 2014 and is based on intense field work and oral history study. We sincerely hope that this piece as a significant set of collective memory, reaches everyone interested in the topic.
