2020-2021 Spring Term Master's Application and Registration Processes

Applications and registrations of Master's and doctoral programs within Bahcesehir University will start on November 18, 2020.

Candidates who apply Online can upload the necessary documents to the online application system (recommended) or hand-deliver them to the Institute.

The Institute's office operates from 09:30 to 17: 30 on weekdays. By visiting our institute between the specified hours, you can submit your application documents (after applying online) and get detailed information about the structure and functioning of your preferred programs.

GRADUATE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates who will apply for Bahcesehir University graduate programs, first of all

General minimum requirements for candidates applying for Master's degree program:

* Obtaining a four-year bachelor's degree

* Academic staff and Graduate Education Entrance Exam Results are required for Master's applications with thesis. (Ales EA, SAY or SOZ: 55+ or equivalent points of the relevant score type)

· English language of instruction programs for English proficiency result (for reference, the minimum score required: foreign language exam(YDS): 65, test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL): 79, BAU Proficiency Exam: 65, YOKDIL: 65) is required.

Note: The above-mentioned score criteria are the minimum value for the application and may vary in some programs. 

Master's Degree Application Documents 

1. Copy of Bachelor's degree or temporary graduation certificate (graduate certificate obtained from E-DEVLET)

2. A photocopy of the document (transcript) showing all courses and grades taken at the undergraduate level (or diploma octet )

3. A photocopy of the Academic Staff and Graduate Education Entrance Exam or Equivalent Exam Result certificate for our master's programs with a dissertation (ALES has a validity of 5 years.)

4. Certificate of Foreign Language results for our Master's programs teaching in English (5 years of YDS and Yökdil, TOEFL and Bau Prof. exam has a validity of 2 years.)

5. One photo

6. Photocopy of ID Card

7. Two reference letters

8. Copy of military status certificate for male candidates

9. CV

10.YÖK Equivalence Certificate (required from candidates who have studied abroad for a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.)

11. Letter of intent (must be prepared at least one page and in the language of the program referenced.)

12. Working Document

(Official institution document that candidates will obtain from the workplace where they work) 

Admission of students to master's programs takes into account the following criteria. First, candidates will be included in the ranking based on the program, taking into account the following criteria. According to the program quota, first a noble list and a reserve list that will be entitled to register if the noble list is not registered will be determined.

Applications for the Spring Semester 2020-2021 will consist of three application periods.

  1. Monday, December 21, 2020 (17:00) is the deadline for the candidates applying for the first term. As of this date, candidates with full documents will be evaluated for the first application period.

On December 23, 2020, the lists of accepted candidates will be announced via the web page. Applicants who have received admission are eligible to register until December 30, 2020 (16:00).

  1. Applications for the second term will start to be received from 22 December 2020. In second semester applications, the quotas remaining from the first semester applications will be advanced. Quotas for applications for the second term will be announced on January 5, 2021. Monday, January 25, 2021 (17:00) is the deadline for completing the paperwork for applications for the second term. As of this date, candidates with full documents will be evaluated for the second application period.

On January 27, 2021, the lists of accepted candidates will be announced via the web page. Applicants who have received admission are eligible to register until February 5, 2021 (16:00). The registration dates of candidates on the reserve list are February 9-12, 2021.

  1. Applications for the third term will begin to be received from January 26, 2021. Applications for the third semester will proceed through the quotas left over from the applications for the first two semesters. Quotas for applications for the third term will be announced on 6 February 2021. The deadline for filing third-term applications is Wednesday, February 17, 2021 (17:00). As of this date, candidates with full documents will be evaluated for the third application period.

On February 19, the lists of noble and reserve candidates will be announced via the web page. Candidates on the noble list are eligible to register until February 26, 2021 (17:00). After this date, instead of the candidates who are not registered, the candidates in the reserve list will have the right to register according to the ranking. Registration of candidates who are included in the reserve list and are entitled to register will continue until March 5, 2021 (17:00).

Note: Applicants who have applied in previous application periods may be included in the application process in the next application periods for re-evaluation if they request. 

Note: These criteria and dates will not be taken into account for History, Advanced Acting, Game Design, Executive MBA, and Doctoral programs. The criteria and dates set for these programs will be announced as an additional announcement.

Note: Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Neuropsychology, Instructional Technologies and Chiropractic (Turkish, Thesis) programs do not recruit students in the Spring Semester.
